Night Prayer - 31st December 2008

Attendance: Ray Lee, Sharon, Andrew, Paul, Jessica, DJ, Chee Chung, Serena, Beatrice, Sonia, Wini, Chris, Josephine, Kenny, Laurence, Kim Ygau, Victoria and Richard,

Being the last day of 2008 which also happens to fall on Wednesday, we decided to get-together earlier at 8pm for dinner before starting the Praise & Worship session lead by Sonia. Andrew's parents and his 2 sisters joined us for fellowship.

The vision & revelation received during the session are as follows:

Wini
Got Isaiah 58 as a whole but believe that God has promised His blessing if we obey His instructions.
11 The LORD will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
12 Those from among you
Shall build the old waste places;
You shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach,
The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.
13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the LORD honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,
Nor speaking your own words,
14 Then you shall delight yourself in the LORD;
And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth,
And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.
The mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

2) Also got the word Maranatha
According to Ray’s finding, Maranatha (either מרנא תא; maranâ' thâ' or מרן אתא; maran 'athâ')is an Aramaic phrase occurring once only in the New Testament(see Aramaic of Jesus) and also in the Didache which is part of the Apostolic Fathers collection. It is transliterated into Greek letters rather than translated, and is found at the end of Paul's First Epistle to the Corinthians (1 Cor 16:22) as a farewell. The NRSV translates it as: "Our Lord, come!" but notes that it could also be translated as:
"Our Lord has come"; the NIV translates:"Come, O Lord"; the NAB notes:
"As understood here ("O Lord, come!"), it is a prayer for the early return of Christ. If the Aramaic words are divided differently (Maran atha, "Our Lord has come"), it becomes a credal declaration. The former interpretation is supported by what appears to be a Greek equivalent of this acclamation in Rev 22:20 "Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!""

DJ
1) Saw flags, then saw Richard holding the flags on the mountain. It’s like the scene at the graduation dinner where MLC/DLT members are holding flags and waving the flags!
Impression: It’s a Victorious moment!
2) Saw a piece of log, smoke coming up in the middle, log spinning in the air. Impression: CONFUSION..

Jessica
1) Saw some political faces and Sonia's face.
2) Jesus throwing stars to us on the mountain cliff. Impression : Stars of blessings).
3) Also saw arrows on the map of Malaysia. Saw 2009, with the number ‘9” made from the curved shape of the Snake.

Sharon
Psalm 111
1 Praise the LORD!
I will praise the LORD with my whole heart,
In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.
2 The works of the LORD are great,
Studied by all who have pleasure in them.
3 His work is honorable and glorious,
And His righteousness endures forever.
4 He has made His wonderful works to be remembered;
The LORD is gracious and full of compassion.
5 He has given food to those who fear Him;
He will ever be mindful of His covenant.
6 He has declared to His people the power of His works,
In giving them the heritage of the nations.
7 The works of His hands are verity and justice;
All His precepts are sure.
8 They stand fast forever and ever,
And are done in truth and uprightness.
9 He has sent redemption to His people;
He has commanded His covenant forever:
Holy and awesome is His name.
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
His praise endures forever.

Both Sharon & Jessica got Psalm 123 - songs of stars of blessings..
1 Unto You I lift up my eyes,
O You who dwell in the heavens.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters,
As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,
So our eyes look to the LORD our God,
Until He has mercy on us.
3 Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy on us!
For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4 Our soul is exceedingly filled
With the scorn of those who are at ease,
With the contempt of the proud.

Sonia
1) Saw a ball of fire coming from the heaven, represent the altar of worship, fire very bright.. we are in the outer court of the holy of holies..
2) Got Isaiah 58:4
4 Indeed you fast for strife and debate,
And to strike with the fist of wickedness.
You will not fast as you do this day,
To make your voice heard on high.

(Simplified version: You even get angry and ready to fight. No wonder God won't listen to your prayers! )
Impression: in 2008, there's lot of shaking & shaking in 2009, expect sons & daughters to do what God says (verse 6 till 14); cross reference Habakuk 3:19 on verse Isaiah 58:14

Ray
1) First vision, saw a tunnel slidepool, sliding down deep to nowhere...The second vision, continues with the sliding down, finally reaching inside a room, that is fully painted in RED.. Red wall, ceiling, carpet, sofa set (with tiger skins-like side lace), floor, etc. Impression : Being TRAPPED.. then suddenly off-shoot (burst-out) from the room roof-top & shoot up to the sky (reaching the 1st heaven) & have peace/calm.

Kenny
1) Decipher Ray’s vision as RED room representing crisis. Outburst from room means coming out of crisis.
2) Got 2 Samuel, where Samuel carry the Philistine's holy ark...In line with Psalm 123, we are not to mock the mercy of God. If we do, the merciful seat of Jesus Christ will become the Judgement Seat instead.

Serena
Saw a Silver Cross

Josephine
1) Saw a fortress protecting us. Saw a group of us inside the circle, many arrows shooting at us but not coming through because we are praying (it’s like a shield protecting us). Impression: Be ALERT..

Paul
Felt pressure on his head..

Sonia summarised to focus on what Isaiah 58 says - our church is going into a battle nationwide & politically, not at ease..

Richard emphasized and shared further on Isaiah 58 but on verse 6-10 and Psalm 123.
6 “ Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?
7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,
And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;
When you see the naked, that you cover him,
And not hide yourself from your own flesh?
8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
9 Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer;
You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’
“ If you take away the yoke from your midst,
The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
10 If you extend your soul to the hungry
And satisfy the afflicted soul,
Then your light shall dawn in the darkness,
And your darkness shall be as the noonday.

Before ending the session at 1am, we were asked to share our PRIORITIES for 2009
1) Wini – Discovering God, Discovering life. Only when we start discovering God, can we truly start discovering life for what it really is.
2) Chris - Love God & Love HIS people..
3) Paul (for Jessica) - Saw Jessica is being oppressed by her current employer; saw Jessica speaking with a lot of people & with authority (Psalm 114)

Richard said the Closing Prayer.

Night Prayer - July 2008

Our newly weds, Eddie and Sharon, had their marriage registered on a very special day, 080808! Our heartiest congratulations to them, and may they multiply and reap the blessings that the Lord has in store for them!

Before the prayer session, the following were shared:

1. A short update on what Transformed Ministry is doing and the projects they are currently handling.

2. Richard announced that MLC will launch Gracelife as a registered local discipleship Church, in Menara TA on 1st November 2008. Both Eric Swanson and Sam William , who will be in Malaysia for the EFC Conference, have been invited to officiate the launch at 5pm.

3. Updates on the EFCC Conference by Brad Fieldhouse and Glen Brechner.

4. Men's Ministry - “Authentic Manhood” will be launched in Kluang’s Agape Church on 30thNovember, 2008. Compulsory for all men from the Marketplace Leadership Ministry to attend the training which will be conducted by Geoff Gorsuch.

5. There will be a Marriage Enrichment Course for those who are married, planning to get married as well as singles. Classes are tentatively scheduled to start from September and will run until December. The classes will be conducted by Ailin and Vincent Goh.

Prayers started at 11.10pm after Praise & Worship - Calvary Cowboy style following which we all partook Holy Communion.

After an hour of worshipping in tongues, the following visions and words were received:

1. A word ‘Go’. Matthew 28:19, says to make a difference in the marketplace.

2. People busy working in the vineyard, some were trimming the branches, some attending to the fruits.

3. Worship in heaven, very happy.

4. Psalms 11 In the LORD I take refuge.
How then can you say to me: "Flee like a bird to your mountain.
For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.
When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do ?"
The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them.
The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates.
On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.
For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face.

Psalms 119:13
With my lips I recountall the laws that come from your mouth

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

5. Blue sky with white cloud, Road to Damacus, A room with ray of light, felt a heavy pressure on the chest

6. Isaiah 60:4

Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm.

7. Sam Williams walking around

8. Walking in the dark, door opened and saw Jesus walking in with light

Psalm 91
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you make the Most High your dwelling— even the LORD, who is my refuge-
then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Richard concluded that Jesus has set us free from all our bondages. Therefore, we are to live our life and not be caught up with superstitions and deception. The coming year will see the "Breaking of religious walls as mentioned in Psalms 91." Do not let anyone deceive or condemn you. Always reply with "Jesus has set us free!"

Wini closed with prayers at 12.25am.

Prayer Watch 30th June 2008

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20)
When the people of God come together, songs are sung, laughters are heard, stomachs get filled and visions casted. Praise God for the amazing nasi lemak and "drumstick" tha entertained the growling stomachs of the many in attendance. many which arrived straight from a long day at work.

The leader of this group of people, RM Richard shared with them the mandate that God has given to them, ie.,"To Raise Godly Leaders". The group was also updated on the direction that Gracelife Church was heading, as well as, being made aware of the relevance of Church in our lives and our community.

Church needs to be effective in our lives. Lives need to first be transformed before the transforming of communities can be realized. One could embark on this journey of life transforming by being equipped and trained, serving and teaching others.

"I have learnt a lot from the classes as they are very practical. It is only in serving that you will grow. Those who do not serve do not grow at all and it is very hard to get them to do anything. I believe that when one lives out the Christian lifestyle, people will see it," says Phillip, a first timer at the Small Group Prayer Watch.

Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 3:12)

Richard's take on, "Living By Faith"
There are 3 types of faith. Faith to live by, faith as a gift and faith as a fruit. If our lives are not driven by vision, we will not know what it is to live by faith. In most times of our lives, we are not driven by faith but by sight and money. We can only know what to receive and reject when we are walking by faith. Before we can discover the vision for our own ministry, we first need to be faithful in another person's ministry. The issue is not availability nor ability but faithfulness. It is not about doing but being. We need to embrace the leader's vision (which is from God). We are to see the vision as our own as God sees the heart and not the work. We can change our hands by changing our hearts. We have to transform our lives before we can transform the communities. Anyone can do good deeds but to sustain good deeds we need to change our hearts first.

Have I embraced the vision that God has given to the Body or am I trying to be part of what they are doing? Am I being or doing? Transform your life, then transform the communities.

Scripture Readings & Visions
Ezekiel 5. A forewarning of what's coming.
Isaiah 63. Courage comes from God-given convictions. To be able to lead others with courage and without compromise, we must establish our relationship with God first and be convicted by His truths. Popularity with God controlled Moses' life, not popularity with people.
Daniel 3. We need to stand firm to the truth even to the extent of being "burned" and not to bow down to anything beside God.
Jeremiah 39. Everything changes after a period of suffering. The oppressed are set free; the poor become landowners. "The Lord, the God of Israel, says: I will do to the city everything I treatened; I will destroy it before your very eyes, but I will deliver you. You shall not be killed by those you fear so much. As a reward for trusting me, I will preserve your life and keep you safe".
Psalms 27:4. Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
Psalms 91. We are to pray this for protection.

1. Narrow road, where many cars were jammed towards it.
2. A sword with the middle embedded with a blue precious stone.
3. A serpent that became a huge cobra. A sword that resembles the one above slashed the serpent into half.
4. A 1960's black & white scene.
5. Something like a forest, an animation of a tree moving like water with lots of arrows and a pillar that was blocking the arrows from hitting the target.
6. Flashes of images. Rising clear, blue water; snowcap peaks with melting snow; flashes of red colour; the number 1369 in yellow neon lights. Also saw images of animal like things crawling in the dark; a piece of metal with greenish crush and the water washing off the crust to reveal metal; blue sparks and yellow sparks of lights streaming upwards continuously from left to right and as the lights are joined in the middle, it then split into 6 streaming yellow sparks.
7.Flames that are small and flickering. The Lord will cause these flames to become blue flames that are so supernaturally hot. It is going to be a fire that is not of the people's own doing but it is something God has for a special group of people that God has called.
8. A single storey bungalow with dormitory like building on the background; a peach colored double-storey house; a night scene showing highways with yellow lights on both sides moving upwards and inter-winding with other highways. A book entitled CLAYPOT CLAY (gold plated) with pictures of mountain range behind the title. We need to be true disciples of Jesus Christ. Clays that the Lord can use. Only then can we receive His blessing and peace.
9. Jesus appearing in our midst and laying his hand on Richard's forehead.

We are to pray for what's coming. Pray for the people to see the mercy of God and not to be fearful and stay away, but to draw close to Him.
