John Hull Visit to TA (13 June 2008)

Funny, focused, a serving heart; these are a few of the impressions that we got of EQUIP International leader, John Hull. A frequent speaker at local churches and global outreach events, he regularly provides leadership training to audiences in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Far East, Africa, and the Americas.

Prior to his work with EQUIP, John Hull served congregations in the United States and Canada, most recently as Senior Pastor in Toronto. He earned a degree in journalism and telecommunications, a Master of Divinity degree, and a Doctor of Ministry degree. Now he is serving as the president of EQUIP, which is John Maxwell's initiative.

Despite his busy schedule , he took the time to leave a conference he was speaking in PJ, to attend the MLM class that was held at Menara TA on 7th June 2008. He shared with the participants on EQUIP’s vision and commitment. He also demonstrated the importance of submission. In a year, he only meets up with his boss, John Maxwell for 5 days and that is to determine the rest of his 360 days..

John Hull truly exemplified the mark of a Servant Leader. His first question to EQUIP when approached was, "How can I serve you?" Even as he went round the tables to introduce himself during lunch, he never failed to ask the all-important question of “how can I serve you?.”

If there is one thing to take away from a meeting with John Hull, it is not the highly entertaining message he gave or the vision for where EQUIP is heading but the heart of a true leader. A heart that says even though I may have seen it all, possibly done it all, I still have the time and interest in knowing how I can make your walk with God better. A true servant of God.
